Example of a previous machining test

   SOMEX testing units are at the disposal of our customers. It allows achieving most of the machining operation. As an example :

Customer : PROFORM (France)
Activity : Tube bending and endworking
Customer field : Automotive, aeronautical, chemical industries
Workforce : 110 employees.

   Operation : End facing and chamfering of tubes

   Diameter : 114 mm - thickness 3,2 mm

   Tools : Chamfering head with 3 carbide tip 2025

   Material : INOX Z6CNDT17.12 ; hardness : 210HB

   After various theoretical calculations, customers' results are all different!

   The machining looks easy and the customer's expected machining conditions was 4 Kw at 480 Rpm. We wasn't Not to mention that the speed was 0,28 mm/Rpm !

   Results : after several spindle block, tip breakage, and parameter adjusts we define a 11Kw -1000 Rpm motor with a spindle rotating speed of 650 Rpm. Otherwise a MAX45B ISO40 + UA5DNL 400 !
